On November 26, 2020, the Youth League Committee of the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua organized the league branches of the first and second years of high school to carry out the theme of "Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army going abroad to fight against the United States and aid North Korea", and 33 league branches of high school participated in the activities。

First of all, the cadres of each class led everyone to watch the video related to the anti-US aid to North Korea, the video introduced the story of more than one million Chinese sons and daughters who bravely crossed the Yalu River in spite of the snow and cold and fought with the imperialist forces invading North Korea。

Through watching the video and the introduction of the historical background of "resisting the United States and aiding Korea" by the league cadres, the students learned that this is a just war to defend peace and resist aggression。When the people of neighboring Korea were suffering and China's security was under serious threat, the Communist Party of China, unafraid of provocations, led the Chinese People's Volunteers to the Korean battlefield, fought side by side with the Korean people, and defeated the arrogance of the imperialist forces with swift and violent offensives。

Then, the league secretary told the students the story of the martyrs who died honorably in this period of history。Some are familiar heroes, such as Yang Gensi, Huang Jiguang, Qiu Shaoyun, and many more unsung heroes。Most of them are the soldiers of the poor families, with a sincere heart, shed their blood on a strange land, and sleep forever in another place, leaving their young lives there。The students followed the story of the league branch secretary, as if they had returned to the era of smoke and gunpowder。

In the chorus song "Mountains and rivers are safe, Martyrs are immortal", the students observed a moment of silence for those heroes who died on the battlefield。"Green mountains are everywhere buried loyal bones, why do you need to wrap the body back"。Sixty-eight years ago today, they set foot on the battlefield to resist the United States and aid Korea in order to protect their country。In the past two years and nine months, more than 100,000 volunteer soldiers have sacrificed their lives。Today, on the anniversary of the Anti-American aid to North Korea, we mourn the most lovely people together!
